🚔 Neighbourhood Week of Action – Royton, Shaw & Crompton 🚔

As part of Neighbourhood Week of Action, officers are focusing on key local issues that matter most to our communities.

Yesterday’s focus was anti-social behaviour (ASB), with officers carrying out covert patrols across the Royton, Shaw and Crompton areas.

During routine patrols in Shaw, officers encountered a group of individuals acting suspiciously in an area where there is existing intelligence relating to drug use and drug dealing.

A Section 23 Misuse of Drugs Act search was conducted on the individuals and a vehicle. A small quantity of herbal cannabis was located within the vehicle. The owner of the cannabis was dealt with by police, and the substance was seized for destruction.

👮‍♂️ Reassurance patrols will continue throughout the week as part of this initiative, with officers remaining visible and proactive to address ASB, drug-related activity, and other local concerns.
